When the New Zealand label, I Love Ugly, announced their collection with JanSport, they ended up selling out really quickly.
I did some research on which retailers would be carrying the collection. I found out that they had them in a store inside a mall in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The design and color are awesome! This limited edition backpack has a sleek silhouette and is crafted from durable wool felt and has a custom lining. It also features multiple compartments with zippers, traveling use.
Make sure you check out the full details and more information on the I Love Ugly website:
A big thank you to Grace Kusnadi, owner of Popcorn Asia, for taking the time to meet with me despite her busy schedule. In addition to having a good time seeing Grace, I was able to visit The BENEDICT in GRAND INDONESIA – JAKARTA which had a really cool vibe.

Thanks to my colleague and friend, Surin Tan, for inviting us to have tea time while in Jakarta.
This amazing place is located at the East Mall Grand Indonesia and is called “Ninety-Nine Restaurant.”
This is my second time having tea there and it did not disappoint! The restaurant has a luxury, open-garden setup with mosaic tiles and offered fresh baked goods. I wish I could have tea time or meetings there every day.
I started off with fresh coffee and a delicious Dark Cherry Tart and Pistachio Cake.
The quality of the dessert and bakery are great and I really enjoyed every bite. I can’t wait to go back again.

It was my dream to have my first solo exhibition in Indonesia.
“Not A Spiki Show” Exhibit paid tribute to my favorite artists and was open to the public.
It was held at Plastic Culture at the Grand Indonesia Shopping Town East Mall.
The exhibit was centered around 15-20 custom pieces inspired by well-known artists in the designer vinyl scene.
Some of the artists I paid tribute to include: Arkiv Vilmansa, Angry Woebots, Futura 2000, Flying Förtress, Frank Kozik, Ugly Doll, Itokin Park, Jermaine Rogers, Kendy Tandiono, Kun (Sakun), Michael Lau, Mist Reach, and Secret Guest.
I also invited Andri Widjaja, Evan Tsai, Timothy Istianto, and Laughin’ Man as featured artists to showcase their work.
Thanks to Kong Andri for helping me design my awesome flyer. I love the retro vibe.
My idea for the installation was to divide a few layers to make a more unique pop up view.
Seeing the completed installation was the best feeling ever!
Thank you to everyone who came out to support me!
thanks Desy Agnes for awesome photo.
Live custom mini Munnys for friends!

Thank you to Plastic Culture and everyone who came out to support me.
Even though I came from the other side of the world, we all have the same passion for art and toys. Thank you for allowing me to share my work and experience.

Thank you to my old friends at Unisadhuguna International College (UIC) in Jakarta, Indonesia.
They always make it a point to support their students. I really enjoyed meeting their students. This time we were able to team up with Aglxyco.
This time we had 2 sections. The first one was with active students who are in design art so we were able to have a conversation about their interests and vision.
The local news station, BINUS TV, interviewed us. You can check out the entire interview here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRSiAYFj5y8.
Tamish is my friend who lives locally. He is super talented and I respect him so much. He has a true love for art and design. He also gives back to his community.
My special guest, Untung, also did a lecture at UIC. He is a local creative designer and has been in the industry for awhile.
The second section, we were able to speak to potential students from different high schools who are interested in studying at UIC.
The goal was to make it a hands-on experience for the students break so we broke them up into teams which allowed them experience creative brainstorming.
During The Spiki’s Java Adventure 2015, I have great opportunity to some of our university grads, Thanks to Surin invite. I was grateful both grads were doing well and enjoy their journey through their passions. We was able this lunch meeting at Nishimura, authentic Japanese cuisine, from tatami-style to teppanyaki-style. I was enjoy the Japanese vibe and combination of fresh ingredients and traditional Japanese cooking styles. The vibe is from the Restaurant installation to waitresses’ outfits as well.

I was super excited to invite my co-worker to join me for a great dinner at Ohana, which is located in Disney World’s Polynesian Village Resort.
They had an awesome display with Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
The lobby has such cool statues.
installation are amazing
My friend and colleague, Emily, came.
As well as my friend and colleague, Gigi.
The restaurant is known for their Polynesian cuisine served buffet-style, character dining, and unique theme. You can enjoy a Hawaiian-style dinner with storytelling and games. They also offer a character breakfast with Lilo, Stitch and a few other Disney friends.
I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time.
Emily is taking a break, and preparing for the feast that awaits us.
The restaurant has an open kitchen.
Here, a bunch of skewers are ready to be served. The buffet is an “all-you-care-to-enjoy, family-style feast” that is served right to your table. It also includes coffee, tea, and soda.
For starters, they bring out the “Ohana Pineapple-Coconut Bread.” I really enjoy it but try not to fill up on bread since there’s so much food still to come. They also offer a mixed greens salad with a Lilikoi dressing.
There are pork dumplings tossed in garlic-ginger sauce and honey-coriander chicken wings.
Both are served with peanut and sweet and sour sauces.
We also had teriyaki noodles.
My friend and colleague, Larnna, was excited about the food too.
Each time they come to your table, they bring fresh skewers and they’re unlimited so you can take as much as you want. Two of the skewers they offer are the Sweet-n-Sour Chicken and Szechuan Sirloin Steak
My favorite was the Spicy Grilled Peel-n-Eat Shrimp prepared over an oak fire, served on Skewers with Peanut and Sweet-n-Sour Sauces. It was so good!
Here’s the famous Ohana Bread Pudding à la mode topped with Caramel Sauce and Bananas.
Larnna couldn’t wait to dig in!
Since it was Larnna’s birthday, they brought us two bread puddings!
I had an awesome time!
Just a tip, if you want the pineapple dole whip, you can find here, at Pineapple Lanai.
Orlando’s Magical Dining Month is one of my favorite months, plus it helps support organizations such as, Best Buddies and the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida.
My friend and colleague, Gigi, suggested we try A Land Remembered, which is located inside the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel.
A Land Remembered is known for their quality beef and unique dining experience.
My friend and colleague, Wendy, and her family also joined us.
Here are Wendy and Gigi, getting ready to order.
Here is the Magical Dining Month menu with the options we’re able to choose from.
Their butter is one of their signatures and is shaped like a Florida alligator.
The Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes were highly recommended.
Wendy ordered the Steakhouse Wedge Salad. I think the size and portion was great for an appetizer.
Lobster Bisque is my favorite soup so I had to order it. They didn’t skimp on the lobster chunks. It was delicious!
This is the Blackened Red Snapper with Crawfish Cream Sauce.
The 6 oz filet mignon was top quality!
You also have the option to upgrade, for a little extra money, to a 16 oz New York strip steak.
I ordered the 16 oz New York strip steak.
This is the chocolate mousse cake.
The Warm Pioneer Bread Pudding was very good. The size and presentation were perfect!
Thanks Gigi, for the great recommendation. The food and service were excellent! I definitely plan to come back next year.
